Photos captured on a phone often look off — in color, brightness, contrast — when shown on that phone's own screen, because traditional pipelines calibrate camera and display separately, accumulating errors through low-dimensional color transforms. CUHK MMLab's Color Pass-Through instead treats the camera and display as one coupled system, learning an end-to-end, single-step calibration across the full capture-to-display path. It gains +2.0 points on a 5-point user study over baselines and more than doubles perceived color-accuracy reproduction, validated with both digital metrics and human observers.
